Step-by-Step Guide: How to Link PAN Card with Aadhaar

Step 2: Login to your Account


If you already have an account, log in to it using your PAN, password, and date of birth. Once you log in, you will be redirected to the e-Filing dashboard.


Step 3: Link Aadhaar


After logging in, a pop-up window will appear asking you to link your Aadhaar card to your PAN card. If the pop-up window does not appear, you can go to the 'Profile Settings' tab on the dashboard and click on 'Link Aadhaar.'


Step 4: Enter Aadhaar Details


Once you click on 'Link Aadhaar,' a new page will open, and you will need to enter your Aadhaar number and your name as it appears on the Aadhaar card. You will also need to enter the Captcha code displayed on the screen.


Step 5: Verify Details


After entering your Aadhaar details, click on the 'Link Aadhaar' button. A pop-up will appear displaying your name and Aadhaar number. Verify that the details are correct and click on the 'OK' button.


Step 6: Aadhaar Linking Successful


If the details provided by you match the details on the Aadhaar card, your Aadhaar will be successfully linked to your PAN. A message will be displayed on the screen confirming the linking of your Aadhaar and PAN cards.


SMS Method


Alternatively, you can also link your Aadhaar card to your PAN by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161. The format for the SMS is UIDPAN<SPACE><12-digit Aadhaar><SPACE><10-digit PAN>.
