How to clear search history on iphone

Clearing your search history on an iPhone can help protect your privacy and free up storage space.



Here are the steps to clear search history on an iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. Scroll down and tap on "Safari."

  3. Scroll down to the "Privacy & Security" section.

  4. Tap on "Clear History and Website Data."

  5. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the action. Tap on "Clear History and Data" again to confirm.

  6. Wait for a few seconds for your search history to be cleared.

Alternatively, you can also clear your search history from within the Safari browser by following these steps:

  1. Open the Safari browser on your iPhone.

  2. Tap on the "Bookmarks" icon at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Tap on the clock icon in the top left corner to access your search history.

  4. Swipe left on individual search items to delete them, or tap on "Clear" to delete all items in your search history.

  5. A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm the action. Tap on "Clear History and Data" again to confirm.

  6. Wait for a few seconds for your search history to be cleared.

In addition to clearing your search history, you can also enable Private Browsing mode in Safari to prevent your search history from being saved in the first place. To enable Private Browsing mode, simply tap on the "Tabs" icon in Safari and then tap on "Private" in the bottom left corner of the screen. This will open a new private browsing tab where your search history will not be saved.
